Thusa Reservations, founded in 2004, currently consists of four consultants. With more than 20 years of combined experience, our team of professional consultants is dedicated to provide personal attention to every client. Through our wide network of relationships with suppliers, we are able to tailor solutions to your specific needs. With our extensive database of vetted venues, we will find the perfect venue for your corporate event based on your budget, locality and capacity. Our clients are always invited to experience the short-listed venues personally, to be able to make a final decision on the venue. Managing the event does not stop at the choice of venue. Our consultants will be able to assist before, during and after the event, with the highest level of attention to detail:

  • Delegate registration, communication and coordination ensure that every delegate receives the same personal attention, taking care of all special requirements and requests.
  • Constant coordination of suppliers is important to ensure that your event takes place without glitches. Our team’s experience and relationships with suppliers ensures that they anticipate possible issues before it happens. Inevitably, things do change and go wrong and then it is the same experience that put things back on track, without unnecessary fuss and in most cases without notice. Our team will be available on-site during your event, to handle all coordination, requests and assistance.
  • Event activities add to making your corporate event memorable and outstanding. We can assist, recommend and organise innovative and fresh event activities, ranging from delegate activities and excursions, team building activities, speakers, event themes, evenings  and  decor, pre/post tour packages and corporate gifts and branding.

Patience Mashungwa

Patience Mushungwa joined Thusa Reservations in August 2018. She obtained her B Admin (Hons) degree from Unisa and a Programme in Business Leadership qualification from UNISA School of Business Leadership. Patience has over 26 years’ experience in human capital management, transformation and strategy development. She has worked in various industries covering defense and aerospace, academia, media, telecommunications, petrochemical and the public service. Although she is the newest member of the team, she brings with her a wealth of experience in dealing with people at all levels of organizations, an understanding and ability to implement various pieces of South African legislation such as BBBEE. Patience has a flair for communication and marketing and these skills stand her in good stead in her role of marketing and business development.

Mart-Marie Weideman
Mart-Marie Weidemann
Mart-Marie is the managing member of Thusa Reservations since 2004.She holds a B Comm Hons (UP) and qualified as a Human Resources Consultant in 1990. Mart-Marie has worked for different engineering companies as HR Consultant from 1990-1996 and has managed her own recruitment company from 1996-2004 when she started Thusa Reservations.
Janet Opperman
Janet Opperman
Janet has been with Thusa since October 2010.She holds a B Comm Degree(UP) and qualified as a Human Resources/Marketing Consultant in 1995.
Janet has worked for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company from 2001-2010.
She has worked for various companies doing Marketing from 1997-2001.
She also started her working career as an HR consultant at Standard Bank 1996.
